American Gods by Neil Gaiman
Falling in love with Neil Gaiman 's way of crafting stories is always special. And just like the last one I have nothing but good things to say about this book. "American Gods", 'an accidental novel' by author's definition, is one of the best work in its genre. Its a tale about a road trip, a love story, an epic fantasy between gods from several cultures and much more. Shadow(protagonist) and his journey through america after three years of prison; he meets the mysterious Wednesday who offered him a job, running errands. Shadow accepts the position because he had no other choice. He has no home to go back to, no living wife waiting for him to return. And Shadow knew he had to find something to live on. Working with Wednesday wasn't easy. He got kidnapped, knocked unconscious, had to meet his dead wife, lost a bet, got arrested and even killed. But when he came back he didn't regret a thing.
